DISPENSING
We dispense both NHS and Private prescriptions.
Medication records are kept for regular customers on our computer system,
which allows us to monitor your prescriptions, checking for any problems
with other medication you may be taking, both prescription and over the
counter medicines.
Please be assured that this information is treated confidentially, at all
times.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
We are also able to offer a service for repeat prescriptions. I may be
possible for us to process your requests for repeat prescriptions, ordering
the medication from the GP, collecting the prescription from the surgery and
dispensing it, ready for you to collect. For housebound patients, in special
circumstances, and with prior arrangement only, it may be possible for us to
deliver the prescription, if there is no one available to collect it. Please
ask for details.
UNWANTED MEDICINES
Please return any unwanted medicines to the Pharmacy. We can arrange for
their safe disposal.
PREGNANCY TESTING SERVICE
A pregnancy testing service is available or a range of home pregnancy kits
are also available to purchase. The Pharmacist will be happy to offer advice
regarding these, and also information regarding fertility and ovulation
testing.
EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION SERVICE
Angela Gough, the regular Pharmacist, is accredited to provide a FREE
service offering the “morning-after pill” where necessary, after an
appropriate confidential consultation.
Advice on other contraception products can also be given.
HEALTH ADVICE
The pharmacist is available for confidential advice on minor ailments,
healthy living, medication advice. As well as advice on a range of
healthcare topics such as blood glucose testing, blood pressure, asthma,
herbal medicines and many many more.
Advice can also be provided on other healthcare issues and from where
additional information support and advice can be obtained.
SATISFACTION
If you are unhappy with the services or products supplied to you, first
discuss the matter with Angela Gough, the Pharmacist. If this fails to
satisfy you, then in the case of an NHS matter, you maybe asked to put your
complaint in writing to the Caerphilly Local Health Board.
Disputes over standards of any other goods or services offered to you,
should be addressed to the local Trading Standards Officer at Caerphilly
County Borough Council.
